I have worked with Native American tribes in business transactions and in litigation at all levels, including tribal courts, state courts, federal district courts, the C.F.R. Courts of Indian Offenses, and the Interior Board of Indian Appeals. I have spent much of my career helping Native American tribes develop and implement laws, make positive and progressive changes to their tribal governments and institutions, and protect their enterprises. I have worked alongside tribal officials and their Economic Development teams to reach economic and business diversification goals. I am dedicated to promoting and protecting the Native American culture and ways of life, and service to Native communities is still a very important part of my practice as a private family law attorney. Currently, I am serving the following tribal jurisdictions:
Muckleshoot Indian Tribe
Nisqually Indian Tribe
I provide a variety of family legal services to those in need of quality affordable representation. Please check out the links on the right for more information on specific practice areas.
Fees & Special Services
I charge a flat fee for many of my services. For clients who demonstrate extraordinary need, I coordinate with them to set up fee arrangements and payment plans designed to fit their budget. I strive to provide the highest quality legal services to families and individuals regardless of their financial situation. Therefore, I evaluate the need for reduced cost services for my clients on a case-by-case basis to determine fees and payment plans.
Special services that I provide:

Accommodations for those with limited access to transportation
My mission is to vigorously advocate for my clients while also offering much needed support as they endure one of life's toughest challenges - dealing with a family law issue.

& Dependency Cases
I grew up in Western Oklahoma, disadvantaged and displaced by domestic violence throughout my teen years. I had opportunities to pursue post-secondary education after high school despite the obstacles I faced dealing with poverty, lack of parental support, and lack of housing. Those opportunities were made possible by an incredibly caring, encouraging, and selfless educator who has been a hero to me everyday since those beginnings and will be everyday hereafter.
So many of my life experiences have led me to develop an appreciation for and understanding of the daily struggles that people face, whether the struggle involves dealing with domestic violence or lack of a support system; the loss of loved ones; mental and physical health issues; drug addiction; fear and anxiety about day to day survival; or, the inability to simply make ends meet. I have had serious challenges in my own life and, therefore, serious struggles. I wouldn't be an attorney today if not for the compassion and care that so many people have shown me throughout my life.
I strive to pay it all forward through my work as an attorney. It is my goal to provide at least 50 hours of pro bono legal services per year. My pro bono work is not limited strictly to family law, so if you or loved one has a need for pro bono legal services, please do not hesitate to contact me for a consultation.
